The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of heroes who will split off from the central cast to undertake their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team includes Teor (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are scarce.
Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem mismatched, but the developments of the third episode show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then paid off his debts and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
- The adventurer has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile place.
- The strong character and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could enable the party reach places they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, Teor swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them little choice but to head to Timmony in quest for the antagonist.
